Write the press release before the report?

Just saw this great idea in MailerMailer's blog.

Consider writing the press release before writing that big report.

Why? "It gives everyone who is working on the project a clearer definition of the end goal," another CEO told MailerMailer's CEO Raj Khera.

I often write a headline to an article or post before writing the story.

It helps me crystallize the idea. And I suppose writing the press release before writing a report would do the same thing. You can read more and find some great ideas on email marketing in Raj's blog, The Touch.
